The Buttercup History & Staff

           The Buttercup's humble beginnings consisted of a working dairy farm and full-service farm market. It began many years ago when Yvonne's grandmother, Martha Snyder (photo on home page), began selling sweet corn at the end of the farm lane. In 1995, the Mummert's purchased the adjacent property, known as the Twin Maple Farm. The barn is a 19th century brick building located 3 miles north of Route 30 circle in Abbottstown, just minutes from Gettysburg and Hanover.

             The Buttercup is open year round, and our staff is very enthusiastic about providing you the very freshest, highest-quality products, as well as our own special personal touch in service.
